School Days

Emma started school last Monday, August 18th. She was so excited about her first day of second grade, especially because she got the teacher she wanted, Mrs. Winkler. We spent Sunday shopping for all kinds of fun, new hair accessories to jazz up her uniform and the wee hours of Monday morning curling every inch of her little head. I hope she has a great year and makes new friends. She seems so old to me now, but one day, I know I'll look back at these photos and remember how tiny she was!

Heeerre goes...howdy, Kate! Good job on the blog. School has been back-and-forth for us. SUPER excited about starting K. at Ackerman. . .only to find out what a gauntlet K. is these days. Lots of pressure to write letters & numbers first thing. J. was getting frustrated, stubborn-faced (like Jack!) and went from being excited to perplexed to frightened. Decided to hold him at Little Lamb 5-day/pre-K. HAPPY as can be, this kid. An added bonus: Big Brother status. "I'll help the little ones, since they're new!" he says quite seriously.
